Roku Soft Reset Method:

The soft reset technique will simply restart your Roku device without losing any data or settings.

From the remote:

If your Roku is frozen, then you can try to reset using the Roku remote control by pressing the following keys:

• Firstly you can press “Home” button for 5 times.
• Press “Up” button for one time only.
• Use “Rewind” button for two times only.
• Use “Fast Forward” button only for two times.

•  Wait for few minutes when your Roku player is completely restart.
•  If you can use all above steps for resetting the Roku player but your problem is still    pending then you need to disconnect the power supply approximately for 30 seconds, and again switch on power supply.

Roku Hard Reset Method:

• This method will erase all data or settings on Roku device and reset it to factory.
• If a soft reset method doesn’t solve out your issue, then you can follow the hard reset method. 
• Hard reset will clear all data off the Roku player and reset it to factory default settings.

You can follow the following steps for Hard Reset Method:

• Go to “Home” Select Settings -> system -> select advanced system settings ->     Select factory reset option.
• Again go to settings -> factory reset option -> Click on “yes” button.

For older Roku Model:

•      Remove the all cables except the power cable.

• You can use paper clip for resetting the older Roku player. Press and hold the Reset   button by using paper clip only for approximately 30 seconds.
• Now you can hold the Reset button continue, then remove the power cable from the Roku player.
• After that you can release the Reset button, and then plug all cables into the Roku media player.
• Now setup process of your Roku player will start again.
